Julie Dayan and Michael Xerri are filmmakers (directors, camera operators and editors). After many years spent in television, they founded Trackingprod in order to bring their experience to entertaining live shows. Both have created the trailers, the videos and even documentary films of different dance shows. Julie and Michael love to use natural light in filming, emphasizing the naturalness of the people in front of the camera. Their desire is to share with the audience the daily life and culture of a country.
Their know-how has taken them around the world: Soweto (urban area of Johannesburg), Rio, Salvador and Bahia in Brazil, Cuba, New York and Las Vegas.
Trackingprod has specialized in the set design and the artistic direction of various shows: “Brazil Brazil” (New Victory Theater in NYC), “Bollywood Express” (World tour), “Soy de Cuba” (European tour), and “Tap Factory” (special version at the Palais des Congrès, Paris, France).
Currently Julie and Michael are working as artistic directors for The Hip Hop International France, a dance championship at The Zenith of Paris in collaboration with Live-Nation.
Two of Cuba’s top choreographers, Luis Alberto Moro Ronda and Dieser Disley Serrano Garcia have created in "Soy de Cuba" a style of choreography that respects the classics while celebrating the new, with invigorating fusions of ballet, jazz, popular and contemporary. Gorgeous dancers from Cuba’s top dance company, The National Television Ballet Company, are joined by the young stars of the new music scene in Cuba today.
The music is composed by Cuban musical legend, Rembert Egues, son of Richard Egues, musical director of the legendary super group Orchestra Aragon and a true musical star of the 1950’s Cuba’s golden age. The “Soy de Cuba” band is comprised of some of Cuba’s finest musicians including the percussionist of “The Buena Vista Social Club”.
